Hey there Wilfred, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like you've got a totally tubular vacation on the books at one of my favorite places to stay -
Disney's Pop Century Resort. Let's make sure your visit is really radical!
I have logged more nights at Disney's Pop Century Resort than any resort at Walt Disney World. The convenient location, access to the
Disney Skyliner, and reasonable price tag make it an ideal destination for Guests of all ages.
Wilfred, I have stayed in almost every section of this resort, and the good news is, even the most remote rooms are no more than a ten-minute stroll from the main building. When I was pregnant with my youngest Mousketeer and wanted to minimize walking, I booked a preferred room and requested the ground floor in the 50's section. That stay was the closest I have ever been to the
Everything POP Shopping & Dining, and if you want to guarantee the shortest commute possible, I recommend booking a preferred room and requesting the ground floor.
If you choose to remain in the standard category, I suggest selecting "Near Lobby" or "70s Building" during
online check-in. In my experience, the standard rooms in the 70s Building tend to be the most centrally located, close to both dining and transportation. Although requests are not guaranteed, I find that Cast Members do their best to meet Guests' needs.
I hope this is helpful as you continue to count down the months until your magical getaway. As you wait, be sure to check the
