Suggestions please! I would take my toddler during the week since I'm an APH. My son is now 2mon and I would like to resume our visits but I'm unsure how I will manage, especially when the parking structure is closed.

Hi there, Monique, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love helping my fellow Californians plan their next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

As a mom of three Mouseketeers under the age of 8, I can also relate to your desire to visit the theme parks with your little ones! I’ve experienced bringing my babies to the parks since they were about 2-3 months old as well, and I understand how much planning and preparation goes into this kind of visit, especially when you also have a toddler in tow! But, I’m happy to report that it can be done! I’ve created so many magical memories with my children thanks to our Annual Passports and weekday visits to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park

Also, Pixar Pals and Mickey & Friends Parking Structures are both currently open, and are very convenient for park access. The parking tram can take you and your little ones to the Esplanade for a short walk into either park. Starting October 7, 2019, Guests will be required to fold strollers before boarding the tram, which I know can be difficult with two little ones. My recommendation is to use the brand new walkway that connects the Mickey & Friends and Pixar Pals Parking Structures to Downtown Disney District. After parking, head to Level 2 (Coco) of Pixar Pals Parking Structure, and proceed down a pathway that will guide you through a security checkpoint before entering Downtown Disney District, followed by the theme parks. You can expect this to be about a 10-15 minute walk.

You’re definitely going to want to get familiar with the Baby Care Centers, located in each park. The Disneyland Park location is at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., and the Disney California Adventure Park location is on Pacific Wharf. These Centers are ideal for nursing, feeding, changing, resting, or stocking up on baby essentials with the handy vending machines, featuring diapers, wipes, and much more! There are even tiny toilets, perfect for potty training when your toddler is ready! Ask for a sticker on the way out as an added bonus for your toddler.

I also recommend downloading the Disneyland app, and taking advantage of features like Mobile Ordering, which allows you to skip the line and head straight to the pick-up window. This feature has helped me avoid many toddler meltdowns, especially when I’m alone with my kids.

My best piece of advice is to lower your expectations, and take your time. Try visiting the parks for three hours your first visit, then increase the time as you and your kids get more comfortable. Some of my favorite memories with my kids involve afternoon visits with churros, a couple shows, and one or two attractions.

Have so much fun making the most magical memories of your life… you’ve got this!
