Hi there Barbara,
If it were me, I would start my morning at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the
Kona Cafe. I would treat myself and the family to a filling breakfast of Tonga Toast which is a Disney signature, must have dish! Imagine a hunk of bread stuffed with mashed bananas, deep fried, dipped in cinnamon and sugar, and served with a strawberry dipping sauce. Oh so delicious. This has become a tradition in my family and if it doesn't appeal to you, check out the other breakfast menu items! My husband's favorite is the Big Kahuna breakfast!
From here, I would head over to
Downtown Disney Area for some last minute souvenir shopping. I usually take notes during my trip and wait until the last day to finish up my shopping at the HUGE World of Disney store. It's just really nice to have all of the parks' merchandise located in one spot. After a few hours of shopping, you could enjoy lunch at one of the delicious restaurants. my favorite is
Raglan Road Irish Pub. I just love the unique flair they spin on so many traditional favorites and if you're lucky, you may even catch a jig performance or live music!
Another idea would be to squeeze in a round (or two) of mini golf at one of the Walt Disney World Resort's beloved courses:
Fantasia Gardens or
Winter Summerland.
Hope this helps you plan a "departure day" that is just as magical as every day of your vacation!
