Hello Michelle, and welcome to planDisney!
I love researching our activity options before we go on a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and for a group of 20 it's a great way to get everyone excited about their trip!
When it comes to dining, not every restaurant can accommodate a party of 20. One thing I suggest is splitting your party into smaller groups and making
advance dining reservations at the same restaurant within 15-30 minutes of each other. When you arrive at the restaurant to check in for your reservation, explain to the Cast Member that you are all together and they may try to seat your tables closer together. Of course, this is subject to the available space and not guaranteed.
If your group is planning on visiting the theme parks, I recommend visiting EPCOT during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Your party will be able to stroll through World Showcase and taste foods from various countries and even enjoy some live music at the
Eat to the Beat concert series. Michelle, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for the details about the dates of the Food & Wine Festival and for their
Disney Eats Foodie Guide about the festival. We love to look at the guide prior to our visit so we can make note of which dishes we don't want to miss and where to find them!
Although the dates have not been announced yet,
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a great way to include some Halloween fun in your Walt Disney World visit. Disney Parks Blog will post the party dates as well as information on ticket sales when those details are released. When we have tickets for a party, we like to spend the daytime at our resort pool so we are rested and relaxed for a night of holiday fun!
Michelle, I hope these tips will be useful in planning your trip for Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I know that no matter what you decide, it will be a magical trip!
