Any suggestions for fun things to see or do at any of the WDW resorts? It will be me and my 4yo daughter. I've heard awesome things about some of the resorts, but would it be worth it to visit them in lieu of the parks one day? Specific suggestions?

Oh my goodness, Jessica!  What a great question!  I'm so glad you asked.

I always set aside at least one day of my Walt Disney World vacations to enjoy activities at resorts other than the one at which I'm staying.  Some resorts have free tours.  For instance, I love the Wonders of the Lodge tour at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  Others, like Disney's Port Orleans Resort Riverside, offer carriage rides.  You could easily fill an afternoon with pony rides, fishing, and bike riding at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.  Young guests, ages 4-12, can set off on a kids-only pirate adventure at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  Several Disney resorts offer Disney movies under the stars on a regular schedule.  That's a fun and relaxing way to conclude a day at the most magical place on earth.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy at the Disney owned resorts.  If there's one resort in particular about which you'd like to know more, please feel free to post a follow-up question.

Best wishes for a truly magical vacation!
