Hi Deena,
We are so excited to soon welcome you to a World of Magic!
Well, to be honest, there are a few strategies! My family typically prioritizes the rides that could most likely have the longest wait times. So at Disney's Animal Kingdom, we head straight for
Avatar Flight of Passage. At EPCOT, we head straight for Test Track and then Soarin' Around the World. If you will have visiting royalty with you, you may want to head to
Frozen Ever After. Once you have conquered your first ride, then I would suggest you check out the other attractions in that area.
Another strategy would be to plan with geography as the guiding factor. Take your maps and try numbering the sections in order that you plan to experience them. In
Magic Kingdom, you could do all of the attractions in Frontierland, then Adventureland, then Fantasyland, and then Tomorrowland. Just keep in mind that Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is a wildly popular ride, so you may want to hop in line for that one first.
Looking at your arrival date, you should be getting some magical help with
Disney Genie service! Consider purchasing Disney Genie+ which will allow you to reserve times for select attractions, one attraction at a time, throughout the day. Also take a look at Lightning Lane selections if you want to maximize your time in the parks!
Deena, I know it's a lot! So, just pick your strategy. If you go with trying to experience the most popular attractions first, just be prepared to trek back and forth across the park. If you go with strategy number two, you could just ride attractions that are in close proximity to one another. Doing so would make your steps more efficient! Also take a few minutes to review
The Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort information. I am here doing a happy dance knowing that you are planning to attend Disney Very Merriest After Hours.
Above all else, just breathe and enjoy the countdown to your trip! Do not forget to make
advanced dining reservations when your
advanced dining reservation window opens.
Magic and memories,
Donyell
