do you have any suggestions for a 5th birthday party?

    Hi Jennifer!

There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than at Walt Disney World! A character meal is a great way to start.   Chef Mickey's is located at the Contemporary Resort.  The characters waiting to celebrate with you include Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto.  Disney offers 2 different types of birthday cakes.  A 6 inch celebration cake is $21.00 that you can pre-order when you book your dining reservation or a more personalized cake that can be arranged by calling the cake hotline at
    (407) 827-2253.  48 hours notice is required for ordering a personalized cake. Prices for personalized cakes vary. You may also want to bring a birthday card for the characters to sign.  It makes for a wonderful souvenir for the birthday girl or boy. You can make dining reservations by calling the dine line at (407) WDW-DINE or you can click here to make them online.

When you arrive at the parks be sure to pick up a free Happy Birthday button at Guest Services.  Your child will be stopped by countless Cast Members throughout the day who will wish him or her a Happy Birthday!

You can bring some decorations from home to decorate your room while your child is asleep or you can have the dream makers at Disney florist do it for you.  You can visit their website at for ideas and prices.

    Enjoy the birthday celebration!
