What are some suggestions for adults to do that are not require a ticket to the parks at Walt Disney World?

Hello Dianne and thanks for bringing such a great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
There are plenty of experiences and things to entertain Guests without ever entering a Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort!
Here just for you and in no particular order are some of my top suggestions:
    - Visit Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort; this peaceful Resort is only a short ferry boat ride away from the razzamatazz of the Magic Kingdom Park. A visit here isn't quite complete without saying Howdy to the horses at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch
    - Check out some of the beautifully themed Disney Resorts; my personal favourite is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
    - Head for Disney's BoardWalk; a walk or surry bike ride around the lake is simply delightful at dusk.
    - Do some souvenir shopping at Downtown Disney.
    - Take a tour around on the Resort Monorail stopping off at each Resort for a leisurely stroll.
I'm sure what ever is finally decided upon you'll enjoy a magical vacation to Walt Disney World Resort making memories which will last an entire lifetime.
    Have a great Disney day.
