Hi Michelle!
Thank you so much for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another DREAM-y question! Your three-night voyage to paradise is just around the corner! Captain Mickey is going to be thrilled to welcome your entire pirate crew onboard. When we first get onto the ship, I love having a buffet lunch at Cabanas before exploring all the fun on deck!
If your family of adventurers is excited to go exploring once the ship docks at beautiful Nassau, Bahamas, there is plenty to see and do just steps away from the ship! There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance from the dock. You could walk with your kids to the Straw Market and buy a small souvenir from one of the local merchants before heading back to the Disney Dream!
If you'd prefer to stay onboard, your kiddos can enjoy all the fun on the pool deck when it's less crowded. We often take the opportunity to play in Nemo's Reef with my son while the ship is docked at a port of call because many Guests are off the ship participating in
Port Adventures. This is also an excellent time to check out the
Midship Detective Agency or a movie in the Buena Vista Theatre.
Since your three-night voyage will probably feel like it's flying by and your itinerary won't have a sea day, I think staying onboard and enjoying all that the ship has to offer when more people are ashore would be a blast for you and your family. Even if you do venture out to explore Nassau, you are always a short walk away from being back onboard your home away from home.
I'm wishing you and your family the most magical Disney Cruise Line adventure! If you can think of any future questions, please don't hesitate to come back and visit us again!
Beth
