Hi Where would u suggest makeing a lunch reservation at Magic Kingdom? I'm going to Ohana for breakfast and Hoop Dee Doo that nite for dinner..I want to make a lunch reservation..my kids are 5 and 7. thanks.

    Hi Adrienne,

Wow, it looks like you've got two awesome dining reservations already booked for that particular day. Way to go!

You asked a great question, but I'm really torn because I love every restaurant in the Magic Kingdom. Choosing just one almost feels like answering the question: "Which of your children do you love the most?" This is going to be tough!

The competition was fierce, but the judging was fair. And the winner is:

The Plaza Restaurant on Main Street, U.S.A.!

    [APPLAUSE]

Since you'll have hearty meals bookending your day, I think the way to go for lunch would be to pick something on the lighter side. It sounds like you're looking for a table-service restaurant, so The Plaza Restaurant immediately came to mind as being the best fit.

I was raised to be a meat and potatoes guy, but I'll let you in on a little secret....I always order the Vegetarian Sandwich when I swing by The Plaza Restaurant for lunch. It's packed with all kinds of "power foods" that help me go the distance.

(For some reason, I have that song from the Disney's Hercules in my head now!)

While the burgers, sandwiches, and salads are good, make sure you save room for dessert because they have awesome milkshakes, floats, and sundaes as well.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

I think my wife would be bummed if I didn't at least give a quick shout-out to the Liberty Tree Tavern. During lunch, they offer a dessert that's her favorite dessert in all of Walt Disney World - The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. I've been known to pull the "Hey, look over there" move while sneaking a taste of it and I definitely see why she gives it the gold medal.

I hope that helps! Please feel free to write back if you should have any additional questions and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
