How do you suggest keeping items such as our camera dry on water rides (such as Kali)? We have a reservation at Hollywood and Vine for 9AM, we would like for our kids to get signed up right away for Jedi. Would you suggest going to get signed up first?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Callie!

As a scrapbooker, I always have my camera within reach so I can capture a candid moment waiting for a parade or for that last minute  photo before the big drop at Splash Mountain. Although I typically carry a waterproof camera bag, I also bring along a gallon-sized, plastic storage baggie to ensure my camera stays dry while my family braves water attractions. Don't forget to pack a few extra baggies because they always come in handy for wet socks!

Your second question is a bit tricky because of park hours. If Disney's Hollywood Studios is offering morning Extra Magic Hours, then you should have plenty of time to sign-up your Padawans for Jedi Training Academy before your breakfast reservation. However, if park opening is at 9 a.m. that day, you may need to divide and conquer. Maybe you and your Padawans head straight for sign-ups while another family member checks in at Hollywood and Vine. We did this last year during our STAR WARS Weekend vacation, and I just let the hostess know that my husband and son were at sign-ups and would be there shortly. By the time they finished, the hostess was ready for us to be seated.

Thank you for asking two great questions. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!

May the Force be with you!
