What would you suggest if my family wanted to go to Epcot for late afternoon/evening for dinner? We have a 2 year old & 5 mo. old. We currently have ADR for Garden Grill but I am second guessing my plan to eat there.

    Hi Kim,

I ate at the Garden Grill at Epcot on our most recent April 2009 trip.  My boys loved eating with Farmer Mickey, Pluto and Chip n Dale.  We ate there on a whim because my kids were starving and we didn't have reservations until much later (and were able to get a table with a very short wait).  I'd actually never eaten there before, and, like you, was a bit skeptical.  I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised!  The food is served family style, and your server will refill whatever items you'd like more of as often as you like.  The salad included items grown right inside the Land Pavilion at Epcot and was absolutely delicious!  The platter we had included Turkey, Catfish and Steak as well as stuffing, potatoes (super good) and awesome vegetables (also freshly grown).  My favorites were the fresh baked rolls and berry-crumble dessert (can you tell I dig my carbs!)  There's also a children's menu with "typical" kids picks like mac n' cheese, nuggets, etc.  I have two very picky eaters, and the chef was able to accommodate my request for some plain pasta with butter as well.

The restaurant rotates as you dine through the "Living with the Land" attraction, and as you move through the various courses, the scenery changes.  Don't worry, it's so slow that you won't even notice, let alone get "sea sick"!

If you are planning a day or part of a day at Epcot, and would like a lovely, low-key character meal, I'd definitely recommend the Garden Grille.

    Have fun!
