Welcome to planDisney, David!
With mild weather perfect for spirit jerseys and the start of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, January is a perfect time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.
David, earlier this year my Mom traveled with my family to the Most Magical Place on Earth and as she is both gluten and dairy-free, I became well-versed in
dietary restrictions on vacation. While every guest's needs are different, I was so impressed with how attentive the Cast Members and chefs were to my Mom's limitations.
David, I wouldn't want to promise anything, but from experience, I encourage you to let the server know that you have a strict dietary need when you're seated at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen and request to chat with the chef. We did this multiple times during our trip and with a quick conversation you can be sure that your dinner (lunch or breakfast) won't ruin the rest of your day! When we dined at
Cape May Cafe the chef even brought my Mom a custom designed dessert as none of the selections could be easily modified.
David, I hope this helps put your mind (and your belly) at ease as you're looking forward to your January visit. If you have any additional questions, we would be happier than Lumiere hosting a dinner party to see you again. Best wishes for a delicious meal and a Magical trip.
Lauren
