Hi again Sarah!
Welcome back to planDisney.
Thank you for sending me this question.
While entry to any Walt Disney Theme Park
cannot be guaranteed, if I was visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios on the same day as you, I would be confident enough to buy a ticket on the gate and not worry too much about the park being full to capacity.
The busiest times are around holidays in the USA, typically -
Easter
Memorial Day (May)
Independence Day (July)
Veterans Day and Thanksgiving (November)
Christmas and New Year - all week.
Be aware of Spring Break in Central Florida too.
As you can see, none of those dates coincide with your visit.
I visited Disney's Hollywood Studios just last week - it is my favourite park. We made the best use of our time by purchasing our Lightning Lane Multi Pass (starting off with Toy Story Mania, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror) then we cooled off a bit watching Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, and then used our Lightning Lane Single Pass for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance - it's such a good ride! I would definitely recommend Lightning Lanes for this park, especially if you are only there for one day. Also, I don't like to brag, but I had the highest score on Toy Story Mania!
You can add
Memory Maker to your 1-day ticket if you wish - there are many opportunities around the park to use the skills of the Disney PhotoPass Photographers, and if you enjoy The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Slinky Dog Dash and
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith your ride photos are included with Memory Maker.
If you have any more questions, please send them over to us! Or you can
ask me a direct question too. We are always happy to help!
Sue
