Hi Sue, Please can you let me know which rides in Disney have virtual queues-I know Tron does but are there any others? Thank you ! Jenny

    Hi Jenny!
    Welcome back to planDisney.

Thank you for sending in another great question, and I’m very happy to see that you are getting ready to secure your place on two of the most amazing attractions at Walt Disney World.

The two rides currently available with a Virtual Queue are TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom park, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT.

Ensure that your entire party (of up to 10 people) is linked through ‘My Family & Friends’ on My Disney Experience, and be ready to request your Virtual Queue at 7.00am for Disney Resort hotel guests, or at the time of park opening for guests staying offsite – you can request a Virtual Queue from anywhere at this time.  If you miss the first queue, you can try again at 1.00pm, but you need to be in the park for this one.  You may request to join a Virtual Queue no more than once per day per ride.

The My Disney Experience mobile app has been recently updated so please ensure you have the latest version.

If you miss a Virtual Queue, you can purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for each of these rides, including some others -  the current rides available for Individual Lightning Lane purchase are:

    Magic Kingdom Park:
    Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
    TRON Lightcycle / Run

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

    Disney’s Hollywood Studios:
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

    Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park:
    Avatar Flight of Passage

As you can see, these are all fantastic rides and purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane for each one will ensure you have the chance to experience them all.
My friend and fellow planDisney panelist Amy explains about Individual Lightning Lanes in one of her earlier answers.

I loved riding TRON Lightcycle / Run – it’s so smooth and very very fast!  If anyone in your group is unsure about being comfortable riding on a Lightcycle, there is a test vehicle outside the entrance to the queue.  There are some accessible seats with pull-down lap bars available – just ask a Cast Member when you enter the ride.  You can still lean forward and hold the handlebars and the good news is that on the official ride photos you can’t tell that you’re not sitting on a Lightcycle!  Alternatively, friends of mine have loved riding in the front seat, saying it’s like flying and feels exhilarating!  Wherever you sit, enjoy the ride!!

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions about Genie+ and securing a place in a Boarding Group – we will be very happy to help you!
