Hi Sue, We r considering booking our hotel stay at the Dolphin hotel which is also a Marriott. If I book thru the Marriott site do I no longer gain access 2 potential early or extended park hours as a resort guest?

    Hi Katie!
    Welcome back to planDisney.

Thank you for sending me this question.

I visit the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel nearly every time I am on holiday at Walt Disney World.  I cannot resist Shula's Steakhouse!

I had a look at the Marriott website, which does suggest that you will be eligible for Early Entry and Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at the Walt Disney World theme parks, but I have never booked a hotel room through this website, so I don't have personal experience of this.  You will definitely qualify for both of these if you book direct with the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort. The only way to know for sure is by calling the hotel on (+1) 407-934-4000.

The Dolphin Resort is located right in the heart of the EPCOT Resort area, which means you are close to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios, along with other hotels.  You are immediate neighbours with the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel and the recently opened Walt Disney World Swan Reserve.  Just around Crescent Lake you'll find Disney's BoardWalk Inn with all that Disney's BoardWalk has to offer, along with Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, giving you so many dining options to choose from.

Buses run every 20-25 minutes from Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel to Disney Springs.  You'll find the Disney Shuttle bus stop outside the front entrance (as you leave the building, it's on your left).
Buses will continue to run back to your hotel from Disney Springs until around 90 minutes after closing time.

You also have a lovely relaxing boat ride (every 20-25 minutes) from this hotel to EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.  There is a walking path to both theme parks, if you prefer.  If the boats are not running, buses will be provided.  Just prior to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT  you have access to a Disney Skyliner station.  Buses take you to Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and Magic Kingdom Park (dropping you at the Transportation and Ticket Center, from where you need to board the ferryboat or the Express Monorail to the Magic Kingdom Park entrance).

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We are always happy to help!
