How can i successfully make a reservation of 9 people for Lamplight Lounge on July 5th , i get up super early to make reservations for the restaurant. And every other restaurant comes up . Except. Lamplight. Would reservations be easier by phone?

Hey there, Nicole, and welcome to planDisney. Your trip to the Disneyland Resort in July will be here before you know it - have you started counting down the days, yet?

Lamplight Lounge is absolutely spectacular! I can understand why you'd want to take your party there for a relaxing meal. Unfortunately, in my experience, it's been one of the harder restaurants to get a dining reservation for.

Since you won't be able to make dining reservations until 60 days before your trip, you still have a couple of weeks before this option becomes available, but it does sound like you're making the right moves. In my experience, I have had more difficulty securing dining reservations for larger parties, so you might have more luck if you can split your group into two or three smaller groups. If you're able to secure reservations this way, you can always ask a Cast Member when you arrive if they could sit you as close together as possible, though it will very much depend on the location and how busy they are when you eat there.

I would also encourage you to continue to check back in the weeks leading up to your trip! People's plans change, so it's entirely possible that more reservations will open up as you get closer to your visit. If all of that fails, you could also try the Mobile Dine Walk-up List when you arrive. All of this is now done through the app or online at the Disneyland Resort!

If none of these tips work for you (or if you very much want to sit with your entire group, which I also very much understand!) You could also check out Carthay Circle for a similar elegant dining experience, or Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel. If you want to skip dining reservations altogether, one suggestion is to grab a set of tables near the Pacific Wharf and mobile order from the surrounding locations.

I did this a few months ago while visiting with a group of friends, and we loved it! There are numerous different types of restaurants nearby and still some delicious drink options as well (Hello, Rita's Baja Blenders!)

I'm hoping these tips will help you find the best option for you and your group during your visit. Thanks again for your question, Nicole!
