Hi Charlee! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Sometimes you need to get creative when traveling with larger groups and by the looks of it, you did just that! Securing two rooms for your party of six will give your family the space needed for everyone to be comfortable.
Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a magnificent property and is located in one of the best areas at Walt Disney World! You are steps away from the International Gateway into EPCOT and a short walk or boat ride to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You have some fantastic dining options at your fingertips, both at the Yacht Club Resort and neighboring hotels. My family loves to explore
Disney's Boardwalk when we are in that area and enjoy the entertainment that usually takes place there.
Since you have successfully linked your first resort room to your
My Disney Experience account, the second one should be fairly simple. If both rooms are under the same name, you can link the second room to the same My Disney Experience account. When you log on, click on "Resort Hotel" followed by "Link a Reservation". Once here, enter the confirmation number for the second room. It should be the same process you followed the first time around. If the second room is listed under your husband's name, then I would suggest creating a My Disney Experience account for him and linking the second room under his account. If this is the route you take, you can then link each member of your party to each account using the "Family & Friends" feature. This way all of your plans will be visible on each account. If for some reason you are having any issues, you can
call the Website Support line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will be able to take care of the issue on their end or walk you through the process over the phone.
Charlee, I would also suggest calling the Walt Disney World Resort and requesting connecting rooms for your stay. These requests are not guaranteed, but Walt Disney World does a great job at accommodating the best they can. It's quite possible that if it works out, you will have a door inside of your rooms connecting the two. If connecting rooms are not an option, you can request rooms that are close by to help minimize the walking between the two rooms.
I'm sure your family is so excited about your upcoming stay at the Yacht Club Resort. With four little ones, make sure to check out the main pool area,
Stormalomg Bay, located at the resort. This pool is equipped with a lazy river, water slide, and a sand bottom that gives off plenty of beach vibes. It is the perfect place for kids of all ages. My family did a resort-only stay for a long weekend last year where we spent all of our time at this resort and enjoyed the countless amenities.
I hope you have an amazing time, Charlee! Enjoy your magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!
See ya real soon!
