Can you make substitutions on the counter services dinning plans ? Some said you can substitute drink for cake is this true because I only drink water so this would be nice to know for me.

    Hi Sheena!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just days away! Keep checking the Disney Parks Blog for updates of new fall-themed treats, and definitely make your way over to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival!

Disney Dining Plans are a great way to pre-budget your meal money so you don't have to worry about menu math in the middle of having a fun Disney Day. New for 2018, the beverage portion of your meal entitlements can be redeemed for either 'regular' beverages like soda or tea, or you can choose a premium beverage like an artisanal milkshake, fresh smoothie, or premium hot chocolate. Guests 21 and older can select a single alcoholic beverage like a glass of wine or a mixed drink as their refreshment. Look for locations like Golden Oak Outpost in Magic Kingdom Park where you can for-sure choose an amazing milkshake as your beverage to enjoy as a dessert.

Magic does happen all around Walt Disney World Resort, and many dining locations do allow for substitutions. There are over 120 Quick-Service options, and they all have their own rules as what-can-be-traded-for-what. My Pro Tips: Ask the cast member standing at the location entrance/working the register first. And visit a location that has a lot of dessert options to choose from, like Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Satu'li Canteen in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

We'll See You Real Soon, Sheena!
