Hi, can I substitute appetizer for dessert on the dining plan?

    Hi Ann Marie!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I love to use the Disney Dining Plan as it offers so much flexibility across the whole Walt Disney World Resort, in the theme parks, the Disney Resort hotels and at Disney Springs.  While each Table-Service meal gives you one entree, one dessert and a drink (non-alcoholic, or alcoholic for Guests of 21 and over), you might be able to swap your dessert for an appetizer, but this would be at the discretion of each individual dining location and can never be guaranteed.  I recommend you discuss this with your server to see if they would be able to do this for you.

It is worth noting that if you choose the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, your daily entitlement is three meals (Table-Service, or Quick-Service - it is your choice), and the Table-Service meals include an appetizer, an entree and a dessert for lunch or dinner.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation to Walt Disney World, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on events that may be happening during your stay.
