Are any style propane fire pits allowed at Fort Wilderness campsites

Hi, Lara, and welcome to planDisney! You've come to the right place! We love helping guests find answers to all their Disney vacation planning questions! It sounds like you are planning a camping trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I absolutely love this idea! Let's get into it!

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are a great way to get a taste of the great outdoors while also experiencing the magic of Disney! My family has tent-camped here, and we have brought our camper before, as well. We even tried out the cabins once! There are so many recreational opportunities that the resort itself is a destination! Pony rides, hiking trails, fishing, swimming, and Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long are just some of the highlights. On top of all that, you are just down the road from Magic Kingdom Park! It doesn't get any better than that!

As for fire pits, they are allowed at the campsites, but Disney has some specific rules. The device must include a solid metal top design that prevents an exposed flame and the release of embers or sparks. Even propane-fueled campfire pits have these same safety requirements.

During your stay at Fort Wilderness, I recommend dining reservations at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. It's not just dinner, it's an experience! You are served an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal of BBQ pork ribs, beans, mac-and-cheese, and cornbread. Be sure to save room for dessert, because the strawberry shortcake is worth it! The highlight of the evening, though, is the family-friendly entertainment, and you just may end up as part of the show!

Another favorite activity is to grab a Premium Mickey Ice Cream Bar at Settlement Trading Post and head to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. It is one of our family's favorite memories. It has been around for decades and feels nostalgic and simple in the best of ways.

I hope this helps, Lara. And I hope you have the most magical vacation! If we can help with anything else here at planDisney, please don't hesitate to ask!
