Hi we are stying at por feb 2 for 9 days, is it worth it to split our stay and stay at the akl for 3 or 4 days to try it out my dd loves animals..or should we just save our money.. really torn on what to do,,may be our only trip for some time..Help!!

    Hi, Melanie!

We've done a split stay for a variety of reasons when our vacation in Walt Disney World is a bit longer, much like your upcoming 9 day stay. While it IS a hassle to repack and unpack mid-stay, if the highlight of your trip is the second of the two resorts, you will be happy that you split your stay once the unpacking is complete the second time.  :-)

If you can manage to let those 3 or 4 days at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge include a Savannah View room at the end of your trip, it will be so worth it. Kidani Village is one of our Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts, and the view of the savannah, at any time of day or night never gets old. If you've got an animal lover in the family, this is the place to visit, especially if it may be awhile until you can return. When we took a trip this past summer to celebrate my father-in-law's upcoming 70th birthday (an animal lover), bringing my brother- and sister-in-law and their 6-year-old daughters along with my own children, we chose a Savannah View villa specifically for the "wow" factor...best decision we ever made. There was always something to see outside, proven by the fact that everyone ventured out onto the deck as soon as they woke up each morning. Clearly, it's a sight to be seen; I'm sure that your daughter will love it!
