For student group tickets, how do students attach to a magic band or phone for entering the virtual queue? We had a world of trouble last time as these kiddos just wanted in a virtual queue!!!!

Hey, howdy, hey, Tina! Welcome to planDisney - I'm so glad you stopped by today with your question! Traveling with a group of students is extra magical - I love seeing the excitement on their faces when they enter the theme parks and the bonds and memories they make with one another are extra magical as well! Whether they're celebrating a team accomplishment, competition, performance, attending a Disney Imagination Campus workshop, or just visiting for the magical memories, they're in for the experience of a lifetime! Let's talk all things tickets, MagicBands, and more so you and your student group will be ready to tap into the magic on your upcoming visit!

Student group tickets can be linked to each individual student's My Disney Experience account either online or through the My Disney Experience mobile app. Each ticket should have its own identification number for quick and easy linking; you will find the linking option under "My Plans" online or by using the "My Tickets & Passes" tile on the mobile app. If the students attending are at least 13 years of age, they are able to create and control their own individual accounts; if they are younger, you will need to have a chaperone or other adult create managed profiles for the students and then connect the tickets to each of those managed accounts.  Either way, once the students have a My Disney Experience account and their tickets have been linked, they are also able to connect their own MagicBands to their accounts or use any previously linked MagicBands on their accounts for this visit as well.

Now that we've got the tickets and MagicBands linked, let's talk about accessing the magic! Your students will be able to enter the theme parks, tap into Lightning Lane and Virtual Queue entrances, and link their PhotoPass memories to their accounts with the use of a MagicBand, Disney MagicMobile pass, or a Key to the World Card. As long as they have successfully linked their tickets and MagicBands to their accounts, they should have no problems tapping in! If at any time during their visit they encounter problems with technology or accessing attractions, they can stop by the Guest Experiences Team (look for the blue shirts and blue umbrellas!) in any of the theme parks for personal assistance.

Tina, keep in mind that your students will need to secure a boarding group for a Virtual Queue starting at 7 AM EST for their chosen attraction; at this time, one guest may select a travel party of up to 10. Depending on how many total students you have, you may need to have them divide into smaller groups to accommodate everyone. If the students also plan to use Disney Genie+, the maximum party size is 12. To streamline both of these processes, be sure the students have connected to one another as Family & Friends in My Disney Experience ahead of time!

I hope this helps you to plan an amazing experience for your students, Tina! If I can help again, come back and let me know!
