Bright Suns, Jocelyn!
We're so glad you sent this transmission to planDisney. As a lifelong fan of both
Star Wars and the magic of Disneyland, I'm excited to help you chart a course to the one and only galaxy far, far away. Whether you're dreaming about stepping into Han Solo's shoes and piloting the Millennium Falcon or joining Rey and the Resistance, there's no shortage of adventure waiting for you in Batuu.
I see that your next mission is set for this weekend, Saturday, November 1st. Before you jump into hyperdrive, I have some good news to share. I checked the
list of attractions that will be closed for refurbishment this weekend, and
Rise of the Resistance is not currently included on that list! Barring any unforeseen issues or interruptions in the force, this attraction should be open to Jedis and Stormtroopers alike. If you are ever curious about which attractions may be closed during your visit, head into the Disneyland Mobile App and tap the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner, then select "Park Hours & Info". From here, select your park day and scroll down to see the list. This is a helpful tool when planning your visit to Batuu.
Rise of the Resistance is currently scheduled to open with the park at 8:00 AM on Saturday. If you are staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel and have access to
Early Entry, which allows you entrance 30 minutes ahead of park opening, typically only Tomorrowland and Fantasyland are open for these 30 magical minutes. This means that you will still have to wait until 8:00 AM to travel to Galaxy's Edge. You will see fellow Guests start to line up at the holding area during this time if they are planning to head to Batuu as soon as the clock strikes 8:00 AM. I have seen Guests line up near the path to Frontierland from Fantasyland, just beyond
Casey Jr. Circus Train and near the
Red Rose Taverne restrooms.
Jocelyn, I hope we've set you on a clear course to the magic! If you plan to experience Galaxy's Edge at park opening, I highly recommend saving some time to revisit once the sun goes down - it's a whole new experience! There are two nightly shows that you may want to add to your must-see list:
Fire of the Rising Moons and
Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga, where you can relive some of your favorite
Star Wars stories! If you have any more questions before, during, or after your journey, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
May the force be with you,
Tara
