Struggling w Resort Choice. Not a lack of choice but a "they're all SO nice which do we choose" tug 'o war! GF 1st on list but honestly I think more for the sake of saying we stayed @ GF. We do want prox to MK. Is it truly worth the $ for GF vs W

    Hi Amy,

Grand Floridian is my favorite Walt Disney World resort, however I love to stay at all of the resorts so I completely understand your dilemma.

For proximity to Magic Kingdom, Grand Floridian is a wonderful choice. The pools, marina, gorgeous lobby, shops, and restaurants all add to the grandness of this resort.

The Contemporary and Bay Lake are both within walking distance of the Magic Kingdom. For Magic Kingdom accessibility, these two places can't be beat.

We just returned from a stay at the Polynesian Resort. We had a magical view of Cinderella's Castle from our room, enjoyed walking the torchlit paths at night, loved the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, and enjoyed the restaurants and shops. This was our third stay at Polynesian.

The Wilderness Lodge is a gorgeous resort. Absolutely beautiful. While access to the park will be via boat or bus, the resort amenities are wonderful. Note that rooms are smaller here than you'll find at the resorts mentioned above.

If you will not be spending a ton of time at your resort, I would opt for the less expensive option. If you have resort time planned into your itinerary, go Grand!
