Hi there, Maria!
Thank you for visiting
planDisney with your question about the
Disneyland Resort. It sounds like you and your little one have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation in the works!
As you mentioned, children ages two and under don’t require a
theme park ticket or pass to enter
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, and there is no height restriction for toddlers. The theme parks generally work on an honor system as far as the ages of the youngest Guests. Cast Members typically don't request proof of age for a young child, so there is no need to bring along any kind of identification for your son. That said, I do know families with little ones who are exceptionally tall for their ages who have taken along a birth certificate copy just in case, but in my personal experience, I've never seen a Cast Member continue to question a child’s age after the parent has verbally indicated that their little one is under 3 years old.
I hope this answers your question, Maria, and that you enjoy many theme park visits as a
Magic Key holder! Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with any other planning questions you may have.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
