How will strollers be measured at parks on/after May 1, 2019, i.e., front seat to back seat or front wheel to back wheel? I use a Baby Jogger City Select stroller configured as a double tandem stroller for my 2 year old and 1 year old daughters.

    Hi there, Dominic!

I love helping my fellow Californians, and I’m so glad to hEAR that you’re planning ahead for the upcoming change in size of permitted strollers. According to the Disneyland Resort Rules, effective May 1, 2019, strollers larger than 31” in width x 52” in length will be prohibited, as will stroller wagons. Most single and double strollers still fit within these new parameters. As of right now, we don’t have any specific information on how strollers will be measured. Most likely there will be some sort of stroller-check station set up near security checkpoints. My best advice is to measure your stroller from its widest and longest points. If it’s within 31” in width x 52” in length, then you’re good to go!

Here’s a helpful article from the Disney Parks Blog to simplify the latest rules and regulations to help you know before you go!

If you’re planning to visit before April 21, 2019, be sure to participate in one of my favorite holiday events in the parks, the Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt, taking place in Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney District! It’s a fun opportunity to explore the parks in a whole new way!

Wishing you a magical Disney day!
