Thank you for sending us your question about
stroller rentals at Walt Disney World Resort. As a mom of
two Mouseketeers, I have used the rental strollers at Walt Disney World Resort many times. I have also used my own strollers, and the rental strollers available from Disney Featured Providers. For my family, having a stroller in the theme parks is invaluable!
Jessica, the rental strollers available at Walt Disney World Resort are not like the strollers you may have at home. I find them to be great for older preschoolers and kids, but not so much for little ones or infants. The rental strollers available on property are incredibly sturdy but lack the “comfort” bells and whistles that standard strollers include. For starters, they do not recline. They are made of sturdy, beige plastic which is easy to clean but is not padded or cushioned in any way. However, they have a large sunshade which is incredibly convenient in the Florida sun! If your children don’t need to recline and don’t mind not having cushioned seating, the rental strollers at Walt Disney World Resort are a great option!
Additionally, the rental strollers have a large handlebar which makes them easy to navigate. They fit well within sizing guidelines, which take the guesswork of whether or not your stroller will fit these guidelines out of the equation!
They don’t offer a basket or storage under the seat but do have a mesh pouch and two mesh cupholders that hang off the back of the stroller. The seats on the double strollers are side by side and don’t offer any real separation or barrier between the two seats, which is great if you have a larger child or want your child to be able to lay sideways in the stroller (in lieu of reclining). Insider tip: You do not need to have two children to rent the double stroller! I always rent the double stroller for my older daughter.
For reference, single rental strollers are suitable for children up to 50 pounds, and double stroller are suitable for children up to 100 pounds.
