can you take strollers in the lines for the rides? if not where do you have to leave them? should we bring a lock to secure it? I understand that we will need to take our personal effects with us, just worried about the security of the stroller

    Hi Penelope!

First off, I'm glad you've already decided to use a stroller around the theme parks at Walt Disney World. My first Disney vacation with a child was when my wife and I took our niece, who was 5 at the time. I insisted that we didn't need a stroller because I could carry her or let her ride on my shoulders if she got tired.

Can you guess where this is going?

Yep, we ended up renting a stroller every day because my plan was a total failure. My wife had one of those classic "I told you so" moments. I should've listened to her!

To answer your question, there are stroller parking areas outside of most attractions. The cast members stationed at the entrance to each attraction can easily point you in the direction of where the designated stroller parking area is if it's not next to the entrance. So, for the most part, you'll have to leave it behind when you go into an attraction.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

The cast members do an awesome job of managing the stroller parking areas by keeping them neat and organized. That means that they may shuffle the strollers around, leaving your stroller in a different spot than where you left it. So when you're leaving a particular attraction, you may have to do a little searching around if you don't see it immediately where you left it.

Here's a bonus tip from your buddy Derek:

Like luggage, many strollers look alike. Find a way to make yours stand out from the rest. In the past, we've tied colorful ribbons on the handle. My wife gets credit for that idea...mine was to hire a graffiti artist to tag the stroller. (Now that I think about it, I'm glad I listened to my wife that time!)

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
