Hi, Lisa!
I am so happy to hear that you plan to use a
stroller in Walt Disney World. It is not unusual to walk 8 miles or more in one day which can be tough on the legs of our
little Mouseketeers!
You are welcome to bring a stroller from home or rent one from any of the theme parks or
Disney Springs. Double strollers are available that will easily zoom your little ones around the parks. These are available at the front gates of each theme park on a first come, first served basis. There is small discount if you purchase a multi-day stroller. The downfall of renting at the parks as compared to bringing your own is that the strollers do not leave the parks. This means from the front gates to the bus/tram/car you will need to have your kids walk or (if they are anything like my kids were) you will need to carry them.
If you bring your own stroller, you will save on the expense of rental, but you can keep it with you (strollers must be folded on buses and certain water craft). This might be nice if you are staying at a large resort so your kids can get a lift from your room to the bus stop.
You will have to weigh the pros and cons. When my kids were very little, I brought my own double buggy so I had it at all times. As they got older, they were fine around the resorts and the airport, so I simply rented one. Figure out what your needs are, and go from there.
Whatever you decide, mark your stroller each day with a ribbon or balloon so you can find it easily in the large stroller parking areas. This will really help located your own set of wheels!
Have a magical vacation!
Cathy
