hi. are stroller wagons, specifically a wonderfold, allowed with a doctors note for a toddler with down’s syndrome?

    Hi Breanna!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with an excellent question!  I'm sure you're full of excitement planning this special vacation for your little Mouseketeer.  There is so much for little ones to enjoy at Walt Disney World Resort and you'll love experiencing the parks through the eyes of a child!

As you are likely aware, current Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules prohibit stroller wagons and have size restrictions on strollers that can be used in the parks.  However, Disney Parks are also committed to providing an accessible visit to all guests.  I found some conflicting information online about your question, so as Mama Odie would suggest, I decided to "dig a little deeper" and called a Cast Member who works with Disability Access Services.  He said that your documentation and request can be shared with security as you enter the park.  In addition, he shared that when security is considering the requests, they look for the stroller wagon to have seating and a harness like a standard stroller to ensure guest safety.  The Cast Member suggested, and I would also highly recommend, that you email Disability Access Services ahead of your trip with more specific information regarding your child's needs so they can further assist you and there are no surprises as you arrive at the parks.

While you are planning your trip, I wanted to also share a few of my favorite toddler activities at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Disney Junior Play n' Dine Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine is one of the few locations for the youngest Disney fans to see their favorite Disney Junior characters!  The buffet is full of kid-friendly favorites while also featuring some yummy selections for adults.  You can also find Disney Junior characters meeting guests in Animation Courtyard throughout the day.  Afterward, make sure to visit Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy and Disney Junior Play and Dance! Both of these have an immersive element that allows you and your little one to feel like you're part of the show!

Lastly, I'd like to point out that each of the four theme parks features a Baby Care Center.  These are great spaces for feeding, changing, and resting that are nestled away from the busy hustle and bustle around the parks.  They even feature a small selection of infant and toddler essentials for purchase.  The Cast Members in these locations are super friendly and helpful - even when it comes to cleaning up a messy stroller from a leaky diaper.  You can ask me how I know this, but we'll save that story for another day!

Breanna, I'm sending pixie-dusted wishes that you and your family enjoy a magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!  Please come back and ask me or my panelist pals any other questions you have - we're all ears!

    See ya real soon,
    Kristi
