Hi Brett!
Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with your question. I can see that you are heading to the Happiest Place on Earth this week and happy to hear that your recovery from surgery will allow for a few days in the magic.
I'm sure you are eager to get all your plans in place, so let's jump right into your question. Disneyland Resort takes extra effort to make the magic comfortable and accessible to as many Guests as possible. That being said, there are some
rules around items that are not permitted in the parks, and, unfortunately, wagons and stroller wagons are on that list. I know that's not the news you were hoping to hear! The list also provides some helpful information around mobility devices that are allowed in the parks, including walkers or devices with 3 or more wheels as long as they do not exceed 36" in width and 52" in length. In my experience, the resort holds firm to these particular rules, but I recommend contacting
Guest Services directly to discuss your specific questions and needs as there may be additional services available to you.
The Disneyland website also hosts a wealth of information about
accessibility services offered to guests while they are in the parks. It sounds like you will be juggling a 5-year-old Mouseketeer in addition to wanting to ensure your own stability and comfort.
Strollers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis at the Stroller Shop just outside of the gates to Disneyland Park. I understand these may not provide the stability you are hoping for, but it could be a good option to consider.
Additionally, the
Disneyland Mobile App will provide you with a lot of information at your fingertips. For each attraction, there will be details around how Guests are required to board the ride vehicle which may help in preparing you ahead of time. If you search for a particular ride, tap the drop-down arrow next to "Accessibility & Other Information" for all the details. You can also always ask a Cast Member as you approach the attraction.
Brett, I hope this was helpful in your planning! If you are thinking about spending time in California Adventure, I highly recommend taking a peek at the
Disney Parks Blog's Food & Wine Festival Foodie Guide. You'll find a complete list of all the offerings from savory to sweet snacks and limited-time sips!

Magic awaits!
