Are the stroller rentals large enough for a 6 and 7 yr old? We know they will get tired of walking and are thinking of rental strollers during our stay of 8/17 to 8/24.

    Hi Karen,

Thanks for writing!  You will definitely see many older children riding in the Disney strollers.  In fact, I regularly see kids that appear to be approaching ten trying to "squeeze in" to give their little legs a much needed break!  Six and seven year olds are certainly not uncommon.  In fact, many people still bring their own strollers for kids this age.  I have seen some families with older children rent a double stroller for each of them to afford a bit of extra space for the kids, and for the family's park gear.

Another option is purchasing a higher end umbrella stroller that has a high weight restriction, second-hand on ebay or at a local garage sale.  I have been using a MacClaren umbrella for both of my kids that I got  "gently used" on eBay.  The strollers accommodate up to a 55 lb. child.  Since we travel to Disney often, this is more economical for us than renting.  They work great when my kids need a break from walking, and for lugging all our "stuff" when they are not using them.

Whichever option you chose, have a great trip!
