Hello, Amanda! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for asking this great question! As a mom of six, I know a thing or two about strollers, so let's get to your question.
There's no doubt about it. You can put a lot of miles on your feet at
Walt Disney World Resort.
Magic Kingdom Park alone covers over 100 acres, and it's the smallest of the theme parks! It takes extra steps for smaller legs to keep up with grown-ups, so I am happy to hear that you are looking to
rent a stroller for your nephew. Even kids with a lot of energy and stamina need the occasional break to be their best.
Single strollers are intended for children 50 lbs. or less, so a double stroller, which is good for up to 100 lbs., would be the right choice for your nephew. Strollers can be rented in all four of the major theme parks, as well as
Disney Springs. They cannot be taken out of these areas, but the good news is that if you are parkhopping, you can return your stroller at the first park and show your receipt at the next park without having to pay an additional fee that day. If you plan to use one every day of your vacation, I recommend a length-of-stay rental, which can save you money.
I hope your trip includes a day at my favorite park,
Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Toy Story Land is a dream come true for kids and adults alike, because you get to step into Andy's backyard as a toy! Your nephew may be ready for
Slinky Dog Dash. It's a family coaster with curves and hills but no big drops. This is a very popular attraction, so consider a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or get there early. I enjoy the queue because of all the fun details! Check out the
Play Disney Parks App for more fun while you wait!
I hope this helps, Amanda! As you continue planning your upcoming vacation, please come back and see us here at planDisney if you have any more questions! We love helping guests experience the magic!
