Hiya Amanda,
Welcome to planDisney! As a mom of two under four, I’ve certainly spent a lot of time thinking about strollers at Walt Disney World. They can seriously make or break your theme park day!
Thanks for checking in on the stroller dimensions before your trip, Amanda! My Prince Charming has found me more than once with a tape measure, trying to make sure that the stroller I am interested in bringing to the theme parks fits within the
property rules, so we won’t have to run ours back to the car because it doesn’t fit. As you’ve pointed out, the official Walt Disney World Resort policy states that any stroller you bring should fit within the designated dimensions of 31 inches wide by 52 inches in length. Cast Members have final discretion on whether or not a stroller (or any item) is allowed into the theme parks, so they are ultimately the judge on whether that .5 inch is too much or not. Because it exceeds the dimensions, they can definitely say no, and I’ve certainly seen it happen before. If it were me, Amanda, I wouldn’t chance it. I prefer to start my day with a DOLE Whip, not a toddler meltdown because dad had to bring her stroller back to the car and she “needs” to have it. A great alternative is to
rent a stroller at the theme parks (or a third-party retailer) if you are worried. The rented stroller will fit within the dimensions and save you from having to worry about it at the security checkpoint.
I hope this was helpful, Amanda. Please come back and see
us if you need anything else before your trip! We have all the tips and tricks to make sure that you and your family can have the most magical trip on earth with your Mouseketeers.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
