How strict are you with letting kids into Scuttles Cove on Castaway Key? Could my 13 year old daughters spend time at Scuttles Cove with their 9 year old brother?

    Ahoy Marcy –

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thanks for your excellent questions.  Scuttle’s Cove is found on the luxurious island of Castaway Cay and is a special retreat for pirate children sailing with Disney Cruise Line. In this imaginative play area, pirate pups can dig in the sand, enjoy pop-up water play, and organized games all under the supervision of the same Youth Counselors caring for them on the ship. This is a secure environment for sea cubs ages 3-12 years old so that adult pirate family members can experience port adventures and Serenity Bay (the adult only beach).  For safety reasons, your 13-year old daughters are not allowed to participate in a younger age group. However, all 3 of your sea-faring children can enjoy relaxing together at the Family Beach, cooling pop-up-jets at Spring-a-Leak, water slides and more at Pelican Plunge, and In Da Shade Game Pavilion for organized game play (table-tennis, foosball, basketball). There are so many things your children can do together and apart at Castaway Cay. Marcy, thanks for dropping in for a visit with us today!
