We are on a very strict budget, uber healthy diet & 3 days at the parks. We will eat breakfast in our off site suite & pack our own GF sandwiches to take in. Is it worth getting the meal plan for the occasional meals we may need to purchase?

Hi there Dena! I'm a budget conscious traveler too so, I completely understand your need to keep an eye on the bottom line.

The Disney Dining Plans are only available to guests staying at one of the onsite resort hotels and must be purchased as part of a Magic Your Way Vacation Package that would also include park tickets.

Bringing your own food and drink items into the theme parks is a terrific way to save money while controlling portion sizes and meeting any health concerns you might have. Be sure to keep in mind that you aren't able to bring in hard-sided coolers, large coolers, glass containers, or alcoholic beverages. Also, for animal safety reasons, you cannot bring any type of straws (even the little ones attached to juice boxes) at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park.

Thanks so much for visiting us here at the Walt Disney World Moms Panel and feel free to send more questions my way in the days leading up to your trip!
