Stressed out. Should we go end of sept or 2nd week of Dec? If we go in sept, we can enjoy the pools. Lodging...it is really worth staying on site? We are renting car no matter what.

    Hi Grace!

You have definitely come to the right place to ask questions about Walt DIsney World!  You are choosing between to great dates to travel to Walt Disney World.  The end of September and the beginning of December are typically low crowd times of the year and they are what is considered to be in a Value Season.  September is generally warmer and the pools are more inviting than in December.   Also in September the Magic Kingdom is decorated in a Halloween Theme and you are able to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on select nights by purchasing a special event ticket.  In December the days are cooler, but there is the sights and sounds of Christmas in the air and the Parks are decorated for the holidays.  Also you can attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on select nights in the Magic Kingdom with a special event ticket.  I have been to Walt Disney World in both September and December and I loved both times of year for different reasons.  If you have never been to Walt Disney World during the Christmas Season, then I would highly recommend going in December to you because you will see "the World" in a different light.  If you enjoy the fall season and Halloween, then going in September would be great for you.   I would also recommend staying on Walt Disney World Property because of the wonderful amenities and perks given to Resort guests.  Hopefully you don't feel stressed anymore and please feel free to ask us Moms and Dads more questions!

I hope that whenever you decide to come to Walt Disney World that your trip is extra magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
