Strange question, but I have a really bad snake phobia, had to leave Animal Kingdom 10 years ago due to it, but taking our 2 kids this time and don't want them to miss out. Can you list the places the snakes (real/toyfake) are so that I can avoid them?

Yikes....I too am not fond of snakes but I think when I am at Walt Disney World I just know that everything is magical and nothing affects me.  My bigger fear beyond snakes is bats and I can say I even braved the bat house at Animal Kingdom just to say I did it!

But I understand and am empathetic to your desire to avoid all if possible!  In the Animal Kingdom park you will most definitely want to avoid the Pangani Forest Trail as there is a building where many snakes can be found.  You can walk right through without looking but you must be warned they are there.  I also would not venture to Rafiki's Planet Watch as many times the animal experts there will have live animals for the children to touch and learn about. I would say more often then not a snake is one of them.  Again you can simply avoid this by not going close as there is so much good at this location to see and experience.  The many shops in Animal Kingdom might have snake items from plush to more realistic models so avoid shopping in this park.

Other attractions off the top of my head that you might consider avoiding for any snake encounters would include Jungle Cruise, Thunder Mountain, the Riverboat, and the Steam Train in the Magic Kingdom.  In Hollywood Studios avoid Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and also the Great Movie Ride as both might mention or show pictures of snakes.

Of all those mentioned above it would just be the Jungle Cruise where a snake comes in close proximity and it is indeed a fake one. Good luck....having fears is not fun when you are trying to enjoy a fabulous vacation!
