    We will be going straight to dinner in Down Town Disney for dinner after we get off the plane. We are on the dining plan. Do we have to go to the hotel to activate the Magic Bands are can we go directly to the restaurant?

    Hi Janet,

    Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. At this time, you will need to check in to your resort hotel to activate your Magic Band before using any dining credits. It's important to remember that the MyMagic+ system is still testing and subject to change at any moment. You might want to call your resort the day before your arrival to make sure the policy hasn't changed.
