A warm and festive welcome to planDisney, Mark! We are so excited you stopped by, especially to talk about the holidays at the Happiest Place on Earth! Is there a merrier place to be than strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. with a seasonal, peppermint Mickey Beignet in one hand and hot cocoa in the other? I didn't think so. Let's grab our treats and start that stroll to find an answer to your question.
I have great news for you!
Storytellers Cafe is open for both Christmas Brunch and Christmas Dinner on December 25th. I just checked and there are currently
reservations still available for both! You're right to start your planning early ... I would hurry as reservations are subject to availability, and I heard the holiday elves were looking for a place to feast after their big night! While dining reservations can open up as early as 60 days in advance, sometimes Mickey and Minnie need a few extra days to finish decking the halls. My best advice in these instances is to continue to check back daily.
Storytellers Cafe is one of my very favorite spots on property. I just love the grandness of those high, high ceilings, but also the warm and welcoming vibe that always makes it feel like home. The Christmas Day Brunch Buffet will be open from 7:00 a.m. (perfect for those early risers who can't sleep the night before!) to 2:00 p.m. and will be serving more hot and cold breakfast options than you could imagine along with some seasonal favorites. The Christmas Day Dinner Buffet will be served from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will include holiday classics like turkey, ribeye, and crab claw ... and no Disney meal would be complete with perfectly themed sweet treats! One thing to note is that the cancellation policy on special Christmas Day reservations is 72 hours, which is different from the typical 24 hours for a regular reservation. If for some reason you do need to cancel, you can do this easily in the
Disneyland Mobile App by navigating to the three-bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner and selecting "My Plans".
Well, Mark, you are in for some serious holly jolly! Lucky for you, one of the main attractions of the holiday season will be just around the corner from Storytellers Cafe! From November 14th, the big and delectable
"Grand" Gingerbread House will be on display in the lobby of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Standing 7 feet tall and 12 feet wide, you'll likely want to check in to this gingerbread resort! Just a few feet away, you'll find the GHC Holiday Cart filled with lots of tasty treats and seasonal drinks. My recommendation is the Waffle Shot with a side of the holiday cookie box!
While you are enjoying your holiday at the Happiest Place on Earth, be sure to take many moments to soak it all in. It's in these quieter moments that I always find the most magic. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Be merry!
