Hi Kelly!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I can completely understand how frustrating it is when you cannot secure a particular dining reservation. If you can be a little flexible on timing, and possibly on dates, you may have more chance. Cancellations do occur all the time, even quite close to the actual day, so keep looking. Guests will finalise and change their own plans when they are already on vacation, so last-minute openings do occur. I can only urge you to check every day, and fingers crossed you will be successful.
Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White is a relatively new character dining experience located at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and is very sought-after, making it a challenge to secure a booking there at times. In a whimsical enchanted forest setting, you will dine while being visited by Snow White and two of the seven dwarfs (Dopey and Grumpy) for photos and fun during your meal, and if you are brave enough there's a photo opportunity with The Queen afterwards! This is a lovely place to eat, not least because of the location at Wilderness Lodge - which happens to be my most favourite Disney Resort hotel!, and is definitely worth exploring. Have you ever dined at
Whispering Canyon Cafe, also located at this Resort hotel? It is a lively place to dine, with plenty of shenanigans going on (if you wish) with a very nice
menu to suit all tastes. This would also give you the chance to visit this hotel and have a good look around. You could keep trying for a reservation at Storybook Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, but meanwhile you will have an alternative reservation in place. Please remember that any dining cancellations must be done 24 hours in advance, otherwise a charge will be made. You could also chance it, and arrive at Artist Point at opening time (4.00pm) and ask about walk-ins. Nothing is guaranteed but if you are prepared for a possible wait, you might be offered a table. You could pass the time in
Territory Lounge, located alongside the restaurant, or explore the resort further by having a good look around the lobby, the beautiful grounds, or do some shopping in the Mercantile. If you have enough time I thoroughly recommend having a drink at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill overlooking Bay Lake. This is also somewhere very lovely to enjoy a meal (
here is the dinner menu), as an alternative to Artist Point, and reservations are not required.
I hope you are successful in finding a suitable reservation at Artist Point. Remember to keep checking on
My Disney Experience, or
online.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
