Welcome to planDisney, Laurie and thanks for dropping by with your question!
Laurie, I love chatting with other guests about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort and the options at
Disney's Wilderness Lodge are among my favorites! My family and I loved
Story Book Dining at Artist Point the last time we visited. The ambiance really feels like you're deep in the forest and it's so adorable!
While menu items are subject to change, currently
the kids' selections include grilled chicken, prime rib roast, and grilled fish of the day. With one of those selections kids can also choose two sides from the following list: roasted potatoes, broccolini, macaroni & cheese, carrots, and mashed potatoes. Laurie, as the Mom of a pickier eater, I'm also happy to share that when we were at Story Book Dining at Artist Point, the Cast Member who was our server was very happy to chat with my son and us about what he would like to eat. While I can't guarantee anything, she was happy to put things on the side and substitute items where she could. Now, with a two-year-old, you do have the option to order from the kids menu or you can simply have your little one share from the table. Mouseketeers under age three are considered special guests of Mickey Mouse! I traveled to Walt Disney World when both of my boys were in the toddler stage and they typically just ate from our plates during Table-Service meals.
Laurie, I hope this helps as you're thinking ahead to your upcoming visit. Since you're traveling with a toddler, make sure to
check out all the attractions without a height requirement. You'll find lots of great options that are perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted visit (and a delicious dinner)!
Lauren
