Are there any stores in Disney that sell model trains? My son is an absolute train nut especially when with Grandpa. Also, I heard there is a model train display somewhere in world showcase?

    Hi Mary!

Your question brought back such a great memory from my Walt Disney World vacation this June!  My three year old nephew is also a "train nut" and spent over 30 minutes staring in wonder at the miniature train display in  Epcot's Germany pavillion.   It is tucked off to the side near Germany and I personally consider it a hidden gem.  If you look around, EVERYONE has a big goofy grin on their faces while checking out the display.  Your son will love it!

Unfortunately, I have never found any model trains for sale in Walt Disney World.  However, I did want to mention a couple of other things that your son and his Grandpa might enjoy.  The train that circles the Magic Kingdom is a true classic and a great way to cool off and relax.  Also, if you take the boat from the Magic Kingdom to Disney's Wilderness Lodge, walk over to the Wilderness Lodge Villas and check out the Carolwood Pacific Railroad room.  It is a train lovers dream - choo choo!!!
