Can I use my stored credit card to make charges with my magic band if I am not staying in a WDW PROPERTY?

    Hi Steven! Welcome to planDisney!

Your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is SO close now! You must be thrilled! Summer is the perfect time to vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth, especially with the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival beginning in July this year. I can't wait to visit again just to eat my way around World Showcase!

Only Guests who are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel have the benefit of using their MagicBand as a method of payment. The MagicBand is actually connected to the Guest's hotel account, which is then connected to a credit card. Credit cards cannot be linked directly to the MagicBand at this time.

If I'm not using my MagicBand for payment, I like to bring along Disney Gift Cards instead. They make budgeting for my vacations super easy! Some locations like EPCOT and the festivals there offer gift cards that are attached to a ring that can be worn around the wrist and they are amazing. All I have to do is ask the Cast Member to scan the gift card and it is always easily accessible!

I hope you have a wonderful visit, Steven! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
