Can I store a Disney giftcard as payment method in account? I would like to use it to book lightning passes.

    Hi, Sandy! Welcome to planDisney.

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to budget for your trip, and they can definitely help make your park experience smoother. Over the last few years, I've started using them for my own visits, and I don't think I'll ever go back. If you’re hoping to use a Disney Gift Card for things like Lightning Lane purchases, it's good to know how it works ahead of time.

I'm afraid you cannot store a Disney Gift Card as a permanent payment method in your Disney account. Instead, when you purchase a Lightning Lane pass through the My Disney Experience app, you can enter your Disney Gift Card at checkout to pay for it. Just make sure you have the gift card handy with the number and PIN ready, and that it has enough balance to cover the purchase. If it doesn’t cover the full cost, you can combine it with another payment method at that moment.

Pro tip: If you have multiple Disney Gift Cards, combine them onto one card before your trip. This way, when you make any purchases, you only need to enter one card number.
