Is there any storage in or under the Murphy bed?

    Hi, Greg!  Welcome to planDisney!

It sounds like you are planning a stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, and I couldn't be happier to hEAR this!  You are going to love all of the benefits that come along with staying right in the middle of the magic!  One thing that I always appreciate when I stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is the efficient use of space.  There are lots of shelves, drawers, and other nooks and crannies where you can store your belongings.

A few Walt Disney World Resort Hotels utilize pull-down, Murphy beds as a great space-saving feature.  Some resort hotels such as Disney's Pop Century Resort and the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort have a queen-size table bed.  During the day, you have a table and chairs to use.  Then when you are ready for some rest after a day of theme park fun, simply scoot the chairs out of the way and pull down on the handle.  The table folds down and a queen-sized bed pulls out of the wall.  It's as easy as Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!  The table beds have the exact same queen-size mattresses as the standard beds in these rooms, and they are super comfy.

In addition to the resort hotels that have table beds, you can also find Murphy beds in a few other resort hotel rooms.  Many rooms at Disney's Riviera Resort have Murphy beds that pull out from behind the couch.  Several other resort hotel rooms, including the 5th sleeper rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, have a small pull-down bed that folds out of a wall cabinet.  These pull-down beds are the perfect size for little Mouseketeers.

Since I'm not sure which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you will be calling your home away from home, I can't say for certain what the storage situation will be in your room.  Since many of the Murphy beds in the various resort hotel rooms fold down over other furniture, there is not a lot of storage space under the bed.  However, I think you will find that there is ample storage in other areas of the room.  If you would like to get a better idea of what the layout of your specific resort hotel room will look like, you can view photos on the Walt Disney World website.  Simply go to the home page for your resort hotel, then click on the "Room Rates" tab.  If you scroll down to the particular style of room that you will be staying in and click the "View Photos" link, you can get a sneak peek of what your resort hotel room will look like.  For example, if you view photos of a preferred room at Disney's All-Star Movies Resort, you can see a picture of what the table bed looks like when it is pulled out of the wall.
