Ahoy Sonia!
Thanks for cruising by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
I'm also a big fan of visiting beautiful beaches when I sail with Disney Cruise Line. While my kids always want to seek out the most active Port Adventures, such as ziplining or speedboating, my husband and I just want some serious, relaxing beach time. We usually compromise and let our teens pick an adventurous Port Adventure at one port stop, and my husband and I get to pick a relaxing one on another!
There are several "beach day" excursions to choose from when you stop in St. Thomas. While all of the Port Adventures sound amazing, the clear choice for our family would be the
Abi Beach Full Day Escape. Not only does the Abi Beach adventure provide four hours of relaxing beach time (more than any of the other Port Adventures offered), but a delicious lunch is included. They had me at "pristine beach setting", and they sealed the deal with a yummy meal! Watersports equipment is available for rental if you want to be active, but you'd definitely find me relaxing in one of the provided beach chairs.
While I haven't personally visited Coral World Ocean Park, I did some research through various trip reports to see how they were recovering after the hurricane. From what I've read, they seem to be back in business, and making a strong comeback! I read great things about the sea lion interaction, as well as the sea turtle encounter. I encourage you to check out the
Coral World Comeback Port Adventure to see if it would be an excursion your sailing party would enjoy!
I hope this helps with your planning for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
