We are stopping in Grand Caymen in January 2013 on Disney Wonder and I have family who live in Grand Caymen. Is there a charge to tender to port and how do you sign up to make sure that you can go ashore - do you need to sign up?

    Hi Denise,

My family and I LOVE Grand Cayman!  In fact, we were on a Disney cruise a few weeks ago, and only got off the ship to visit that port (we love the Guy Harvey store)!

You do not have to sign up for the tender, and there is no charge for it.  The tenders leave throughout the day, but if you're visiting your family make sure to leave early.  You'll have to be back onboard the ship by approximately 4:30pm.

The crew is excellent at communicating the tender times, and the information can also be found in your Personal Navigator, Disney Cruise Line's daily newsletter.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if there is anything else that I can help you with.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Have a wonderful trip!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
