This is our 1st/only trip to WDW. Trip is Oct. 13 (late)-18. Girls 8 & 9. Was going with Pop Cen, but worried about long waits for the shuttle, thoughts? Also, park hopper v. no hopper (4 days/parks) Price diff worth it? We have Din. Plan.

Hi Tracy!  When looking at the Disney resorts and choosing one for your family it is truly a budget decision.  All resorts will use the complementary bus service and although you will have to wait it is generally no longer then 20 minutes between buses to the same location and that is the same at all resorts.  The benefit of some of the deluxe resorts is simply the fact that you can walk or take a monorail to a park to cut down on having to use buses.  Pop Century is my choice for the value resorts so if that is best suited for your budget then it should be fine.

I am a fan of the park hoppers myself.  It is one place you can cut back on the spending but I do enjoy the freedom when I am on vacation to come and go whenever and wherever I want.  A hopper ticket allows you to visit a park in the morning and then retreat back to your resort for rest and swimming and then head back to another park later in the evening especially if they have the Extra Magic Hours.  It is a known fact that it is best to avoid a park during the day if they have Extra Magic Hours as the park tends to be busier.  You can instead visit another park and then come back in the evening and enjoy the late hours when the crowds will be down.

I am all about stress free vacations and hoppers allow you to change your mind from original plans if you hear something special is going to take place or if you want to head back to a park for one more ride on your favorite attraction!
